How to Measure Your Head for a Bike Helmet

A helmet should fit the person wearing it. Measure head circumference and compare it with the size range for the specific helmet before ordering.

Measure head circumference

  1. Wrap a soft measuring tape around the head, about one inch above the eyebrows and just above the ears.
  2. Keep the tape level around the widest part of the head. It should lie comfortably against the head without being pulled tight.
  3. Read the measurement in inches or centimeters and compare it with the size chart on the helmet's product page.

Choose a size for your helmet

Adult and kids helmets can have different size ranges. Use the measured circumference rather than age alone, and check the chart for the exact model you are buying. Size labels such as Small or Medium do not necessarily mean the same range for every helmet.

If your measurement falls between sizes, consult the product's instructions or contact us before ordering. The helmet must fit securely; do not rely on the adjustment dial to make an otherwise unsuitable size fit.
